BLOOM into Transition

Springtime is upon us! Beginning March 20th we will officially begin the season known as spring. Springtime brings many changes including longer days, warmer weather, and things coming into BLOOM. For some, springtime brings runny noses, itchy eyes, restlessness, and a mad dash to clean!

Either way, one word describes spring: TRANSITION. Transition is the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.

One of the most memorable transitions I've experienced in my lifetime was when my family relocated from Louisville Kentucky to Suitland Maryland. This was a MAJOR TRANSITION.

My family relocated during my 9th grade year of high school as my Father decided to join a new ministry and in turn, this led to a BRAND NEW way of life for my family. I went from being COMFORTABLE in my environment and surroundings to living in a major metropolitan area directly outside of Washington D.C.

During that transition I had so many questions:

Would I make new friends?

Would I fit in?

Would I continue to be a good student at a different school?

Who would I lean on for support when I needed it.?

All of the support I knew was 621 miles away!! Plus, I DIDN'T KNOW who I was in Suitland Maryland. I knew who I was in Louisville, Kentucky.

ONE change (relocation) created MULTIPLE changes

Have you ever experienced this? One change that led to MULTIPLE changes? Are you currently experiencing a life transition? How are you navigating this process? Do you feel uncomfortable? Or wonder what support you will need through this change?

Let’s explore your transitions this month. Join me as I assist you with tips and tools to assist you with navigating YOUR transitions!
