Who Did I Become?

2023 is approaching on the horizon and I want to help you FINISH STRONG! In our last blog we discussed reviewing and reflecting on unfinished tasks from the year.

Although it is important to review what you have DONE (completed), it is also important to review who you have BECOME.

Each day of our lives we are BECOMING. Our experiences reflect WHO we become and ultimately we either become better versions of ourselves or sometimes versions of ourselves that we don’t recognize. Who we become is CRITICAL to the tasks we are able to carry out and what we can DO.

Reflect and answer the questions below to evaluate who you have become within the past  year:

  1. Have I BECOME more loving? Is my heart more open, caring, or compassionate? Or have I become more closed, critical, and cynical? Do I feel I have to protect and guard myself or do I feel free to love?

  2. Am I generous or stingy? What have I shared with others this year? Not just money, but sharing of my time, my gifts, and my talents. Did I share these things or did I hoard what I have to offer? Have I been generous with making time for myself? Or am I stingy with the love I offer myself?

  3. What’s my average? If you enroll in a course you will earn a letter grade that derives from a numerical average. Based upon your overall experiences and events from this year, what is your self evaluation grade? Overall, what percentage of healthy, life giving thoughts have you developed this year? What’s the average amount of healthy self talk you use daily? What is the average amount of grace you provide yourself and others?

Shift your thoughts today beyond what you’ve DONE this year and reflect on who you are BECOMING as we prepare for 2023.
