Is BALANCE a Myth? 

BALANCE is the even distribution of weight enabling someone to remain steady. BALANCE creates mental and emotional steadiness. 

BALANCE beings with our BELIEFS.  A BELIEF is a strongly held thought regarded as TRUTH. In other words, our BELIEFS are ingrained ways of thinking that shape how we see ourselves, others, and the WORLD. Your beliefs create YOUR world. How you BELIEVE shapes your interactions and  access. 

It is ESSENTIAL that we develop HELPFUL beliefs. Below are 3 beliefs to help BUILD BALANCE in your life.  As you read each belief, evaluate if your BELIEFS differ 

  1. It takes a TEAM. Do you believe this or do you wander in life SOLO? NOTHING of significance was ever accomplished with just ONE person. Think about ways you can PARTNER with others to bring BALANCE into your life.

  2. BALANCE requires REST. You heard me, REST is NOT optional. Stop treating REST as the thing you do, once everything is accomplished. PRIORITIZE REST to maximize your results and capacity. SCHEDULE time to pull away and RELAX. Set times DAILY to receive REST. 

  3. NO is NICE. Ladies, NO is necessary to remain BALANCED. But beforeI can SAY no, I must view NO as “not mean”...because let’s keep it real some of us were taught that NO is mean. Challenge and reframe experiences that ingrain a lack of boundaries and use of the word NO. NO is your friend and leads to BALANCING your BELIEFS!
